What Are Dental Veneers?
Our dental veneers are thin shells made from porcelain or IPS e.max® that are bonded to the front of your teeth. They can mask a variety of dental flaws such as gaps, intrinsic stains, and mild misalignment. Dr. Davis custom-designs veneers to make them appear indistinguishable from your natural teeth while enhancing the aesthetics of your smile, sometimes in a single visit to our office.
After a small amount of enamel is removed from the tooth, a veneer is placed to mask dental flaws.

Am I a Good Candidate for Dental Veneers?
While many patients in the greater Phoenix, AZ, area qualify for dental veneers, Dr. Davis will need to examine your smile before you can proceed with treatment. Some factors that can affect your candidacy include:
Enamel Density
A small layer of tooth enamel is removed prior to placing dental veneers. If you have thin enamel, your teeth may not be strong enough to support veneers. In this case, we may recommend dental crowns or dental bonding to address cosmetic flaws.
Oral Health
Strong teeth and healthy gums create a good foundation for any cosmetic treatment. If you currently have cavities, decay, or periodontal disease, we will first need to restore your oral health before we can proceed with your veneer treatment.
Dental Concern

Combining Cosmetic Treatments for a Dazzling Smile
When it comes to cosmetic dentistry, there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all treatment. We have found that many of our patients see the best results when we create a treatment plan that combines multiple techniques to address several dental flaws. Some of the most common techniques we use in combination with porcelain veneers are gum contouring and teeth whitening.
Gum contouring provides patients with a more symmetrical gumline. Teeth whitening, performed prior to receiving veneers, can enhance the final results by whitening teeth up to eight shades. What to Expect During Treatment
Though some patients qualify for same-day veneers, treatment may take two appointments over the course of two to three weeks at our Scottsdale office. The process is relatively simple and involves several steps:
